It’s been a while since my last update, and I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting.
Back in September, I decided to combine my passions for prepping and gardening into one blog, Sunshine Preppers, thinking it would streamline my focus. But after giving it a shot, I realized something important—I miss having both spaces.
Gardening is more than a hobby for me; it’s a way to connect with nature and share my knowledge, especially about growing in the unique challenges of Zone 10A Florida.
Prepping, on the other hand, lets me explore practical ways to stay ready for whatever life throws our way.
Trying to merge these two passions into one blog just didn’t feel right.
So here’s what’s next: Sunshine Preppers will stay focused on prepping, and In Between We Garden will continue to share all things gardening in Florida.
I’ll be posting weekly on both, because honestly, I miss the balance that comes from nurturing these two separate parts of my life.
Thank you for sticking with me through this experiment. I’m excited to get back to sharing tips, ideas, and inspiration with you all. Let’s grow together!
Blooming in my garden today!
I think the plant leaves of the donkey ear plant are pretty, but I love the flowers!
One of my desert roses is blooming. It’s our first desert rose, and she was pretty neglected a number of years ago, but is doing fine now.
And finally, this is a flower from our “old man.” When we moved into this home 20 years ago, he was here and he was old then! He’s been transplanted and moved around several times, and is still going strong. He is so happy that it is cooler. I’m not sure what variety, but a type of hibiscus.
